The Government of Tanzania recognize that the achievement of the rural development goals and objectives is not possible if its left to the government alone without the involvement of the private sector, rural communities and the international communities. Also it has been realized that the private sector development is important for lasting poverty reduction and hence should become a leading sector fueling the overall growth of national economy and a generator of income and employment.
DACAS has emerged as a grass-root community based company to facilitate the development of the rural community in East Africa particularly in Tanzania.
The company recognizes the importance of participation of the target communities in the process of their own development.
In its experience DACAS realize that the people of a rural village will be the true owners of the process of development only when they participate fully in the process from the beginning.
