DACAS's Strategy

The current Tanzanian policy for rural development it addresses the issue of poverty too general as if the rural communities country wide have the same culture and custom set up.That is to say that the poverty reduction strategies and approaches country wide will be the same to all rural communities.

According to our experience of working with the communities,we are sure that unless each rural community is approached uniquely, poverty reduction can be a far reaching thing to achieve in Tanzania.
The new strategy established by DACAS known as Tailormade community participatory information gathering approaches(TCPIGA)is a more effective and flexible mechanisms of data collection.This method is both cost effective and time serving and can be fitted to every community where certain information are to be gathered.
